Queer West Arts Festival presents queer artists working in diverse media. By creating environments where artists can explore queer culture and take risks, the festival cultivates creative synergies, thought-provoking displays, social commentary, and new possibilities for inhabiting sexuality and gender. Queer West Arts Festival questions and inspires, celebrates and expands the spectrum of queer expression.

(Queer West Arts Centre is a not for profit LGBT corporation) Board of Management Casey Reid, Katherinn Vera, Philip Cairns Secretary; Jaclyn Alia Isen Vice President / Treasurer and Michel F. Paré President, The Board is responsible for Governance and Funding. Our Gen-Y Arts Collective is responsible for community events, the annual queer arts festival and film festival. We produce a City Newspaper. UnConferences for Queer Youth & Young Adults. Nights of Poetry & Spoken Word. Music Events and Art Shows. We Host an annual Queer West Film Festival and the annual ten day Toronto Queer Arts & Cultural Festival, now entering its sixth year in August 2011. For the purposes of educating and advancing the public's understanding and appreciation of performing arts and related workshops. We are inspired by QueerWest.org ideals of openness, innovation and participation.
